All our products are designed in Melbourne, Australia by industry specialists, and ethically sourced with our partners in India.

What types of leather do Rose & Lyle use?

We use a variety of different leathers, which are selected for each collection and style based on their individual beauty, authenticity, performance and feel. Each hide has unique characteristics which are part of leather’s natural beauty. More information on our leathers can be found within each collection.

What is LWG leather?

LWG stands for Leather Working Group. The Leather Working Group is a not-for-profit organisation responsible for the world's leading environmental certification for the leather manufacturing industry. While we can’t always use LWG leathers, all leathers are responsibly sourced and developed to meet industry standards.  Our ongoing commitment is to use more sustainable sourced materials such as LWG certified leathers. 

How do you ensure your factories are socially compliant?

We have long standing relationships and friendships with our partner factories. They are professional and ethical businesses that take care of their people and environment, providing safe and healthy working conditions.  To ensure this they are independently audited and certified annually, achieving world standard certifications such as SA8000, Sedex and SMETA. Read more about sustainability here.

What are your care instructions?

Should I waterproof my product?

We do recommend the use of a reputable waterproof or weather shield product. Always ensure to test any leather care product on a hidden area of the item before use.  Please refer to our leather care section for more details on leather care. Read more about product care here.

Do you charge for shipping?

Delivery is free within Australia.   We deliver to New Zealand with a flat rate charge of AUD$15. We can also ship anywhere in the world, please use the contact form to enquire about the shipping charge. 

How long will it take to ship my order?

We endeavour to dispatch all orders within 24 hours of order placement.  Any orders placed on a weekend will be dispatched on the following Monday. 

How will my order be sent?

We use Australia Post for all orders.  Once lodged with Australia Post we cannot be responsible for delays in delivery due to unforeseen circumstances with Australia Post.  During the covid pandemic please allow extra time for shipping.

How do I track my order?

Once the order is dispatched you will receive tracking details and updates directly from Australia Post 

What is your returns policy?

  • We offer a full refund for change of mind within two weeks of receipt. Your product must also be in its original packaging with all labels attached
  • We do not cover the cost incurred to return the item.  

  • We do not offer refunds on sale items unless the item is deemed faulty.

What payment options do you offer?

We accept all major credit cards, Paypal, Afterpay and Rose & Lyle gift cards for payment of goods.

Does your pricing include GST?

All our prices include 10% GST.  This will not be charged for goods sent Internationally.
